Open to 4th & 5th graders (public, private, or homeschool).
Awards: Medals & ribbons for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place.
Due: September 15th
Submit to Suzanne Duke, 527 E. Goshen St., Canton, TX 75103 (mailbox drop-off OK).
Must be hand-drawn, original work (no AI).

Essay Contest
Open to Middle School (6–8th) and High School (9–12th) students. (public, private or homeschool)
Prizes:
High School: $250 (1st), $150 (2nd), $75 (3rd)
Middle School: $250 (1st), $150 (2nd), $75 (3rd)
Due: September 15th

No AI use. Essays must be typed, Times New Roman, double-spaced.

Featuring Senator Bob Hall, State Representative Brent Money, VZC Judge Andy Reese, other special guest speakers, Van ISD High School Choir with patriotic music & select readings from the Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights
